Is Your Dog Shaking it’s Head? Inspect Its Ears to Read the Symptoms!

Is there an Infection?

Is the Cause of Trouble Ear Mites?

If upon inspection of your dog’s ears, you discover tiny bugs present inside, then you’re looking at ear mites that are very small bugs irritating your dog and forcing it to shake its head constantly. Once again you need to consult your pet’s vet to treat ear mites. Experts recommend use of a cotton swab after dropping few drops of mineral oil inside the ear to clear out the area inside the ear.

Medication is easily available at medical stores for treating this problem; however, preventive measures should also be taken so that this problem doesn’t happen again. Giving your pets a regular bath is very important, but you must make sure that all of your pets are washed at the same time, as ear mites and other bugs tend to shift from one pet to another.

Is It Any Foreign Entity Stuck Inside the Ear?

Ticks, tree leaves, dirt or any other foreign body stuck inside your dog’s ear may be the cause of irritation. If you feel confident of safely removing the unwanted stuff inside your dog’s ear, then you should do it otherwise leave it for a veterinary expert.
